DON’T BE AFRAID TO ASK QUESTIONS if you want to buy something. There’s no point sending you something you won’t be happy with;-)

ALWAYS INCLUDE THE ITEM NUMBER!!!!!!!!!!!

I often have many duplicate items for sale either on on-line auctions or my web page so a reference in your Email to “German Bayonet” or “Canadian Helmet” won’t help me identify what you are writing about. The item number needs to be included in ALL correspondence so I can identify the appropriate item. PLEASE include the item number. If you have questions about an item currently being offered and you don’t include an item number I may not be able to respond to your query with anything more than a request for the item number. I often can’t help you otherwise. Also, DO NOT ASSUME that I will automatically know what you are inquiring about just because it is a rare or expensive item. I have HUNDREDS of bayonets for sale at all times and even have over 1,000 at times and I can’t keep them all straight in my head without the item number so PLEASE DON’T FORGET THE ITEM NUMBER. Oh, and in case I forgot to mention it, I’d really appreciate it if you would include the ITEM NUMBER with your inquiry;-)

When you wish to place an order or we are corresponding about a deal we are trying to make I’ll need some info to figure shipping costs and the like. At some point I’ll ask you to send me the following information:

  • Your name
  • Your complete shipping address

ALL SHIPMENTS WILL BE SENT FULLY INSURED. THIS POINT IS NON-NEGOTIABLE.

PAYMENTS

I require payments by MASTERCARD or VISA directly. No other cards are accepted and no other methods of payment are accepted. It does not matter if your card is credit or debit as long as it has the MC or Visa logo on it and the number begins with either 4 or 5. If you are afraid to use a credit card just buy a prepaid debit MC or Visa for each transaction. That’s even easier than buying a money order. It doesn’t get any safer than that!

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR PAYING BY CREDIT CARD:

By PHONE: Call in your Mastercard or Visa Number with EXP date AND the last 3 digits of the security number found in the signature strip on the back of your card in to me at 740-502-6790 and if I don’t answer please leave it on the voicemail WITH THE ITEM NUMBER. If you’d like to speak to me please Email me and we will arrange a time for me to be at the phone to receive your call. I am usually available at the phone on weekday mornings Eastern US Time.

By E-MAIL Send me the Card number to otto@eBAYONET.com in at least two separate Emails for security purposes. The first Email should contain the answers to my questions above, the type of card (MC or VISA) and the first 8 digits of the card number. The second Email should contain your name and shipping address along with the second half of the Credit Card Number plus the Expiration Date and Security Number from the back.

If you have more than one email address it would not hurt if you sent different parts from different addresses of your own.

IMPORTANT: If your billing address for the card is different from your shipping address you need to include the billing address too for card verification. I use this security feature for YOUR protection. If the address you provide does not match the card verification address I will NOT fulfill your order so please ensure that you provide an accurate billing address for you card. Please also do not forget the security number.

Your order will ship ASAP (Usually within 1 business day if we use USPS or within a few days if we use UPS as they don’t have regular pick up here)

SHIPPING

United States Customers: I generally ship domestic orders by UPS unless they are to a PO Box then it has to go USPS inside the United States and USPS Priority Mail International outside the USA. ALL ORDERS WILL BE SHIPPED WITH FULL INSURANCE and I absolutely will not falsify customs documents for International orders.

When you pay by MC or Visa directly to me you will be charged ONLY the actual cost of shipping at the time your order is shipped EXCEPT for UPS or USPS Ground Advantage services which will incur a $2.49 or less fee for a shipping carton IF no free one is available to recycle.

Priority Mail and Ground Advantage Rates must be individually calculated at this link using 43832 as the “origin” zip code. http://postcalc.usps.gov/

Here are some PACKED weight guidelines to help you out.

  • Bayonets run 2-5 lbs. on average
  • Helmets run 3-6 lbs. on average
  • Soft hats and other small items usually weigh less than 1 lbs packed on average

Be Aware that USPS currently charges an extra $4.00 for any box exceeding 22″ in length and an extra $15.00 if the box exceeds 30″ in length. These are ON TOP of the basic postage and insurance fees.

UPS is generally cheaper, especially if the value is over $100.00

If you have a preference I’ll be happy to ship whichever way you like.

NOTICE- DUE TO AN INCREASINGLY DIFFICULT LEGAL CLIMATE OF ARBITRARY, CAPRICIOUS AND IMPROPER INTERPRETATION AND ENFORCEMENT OF EXPORT LAWS I CAN NO LONGER SHIP PARTS OUTSIDE THE USA. I ALSO CAN NO LONGER SHIP ANTIQUE RIFLES OUTSIDE THE USA AS WELL AS NO LONGER SHIPPING TO NEW JERSEY. SO FAR SHIPPING BAYONETS IS STILL NO PROBLEM.

NOTE: I occassionally list personally owned rifles being upgraded out of my collection here. These MUST be shipped through FFL dealers if they are post-1898.

RETURNS and REFUNDS

Unless otherwise noted in special cases I offer a return privilege on all my items ONLY for the following 2 reasons:

  • I grossly misidentified or misrepresented the item in question.
  • I have grossly overstated the condition of the item.

Be prepared to specify in detail exactly why you wish to return an item. Requests for returns must be Emailed to me within a few days of receipt. I’m flexible but a week after the item was delivered is definitely not acceptable.

Refunds will be issued PROMPTLY upon receipt of any pre-authorized returned item in the same condition it was in when I originally shipped it.
