Description
M1841 triform socket bayonet. Made by Augustine J Drake for use on M1841 rifles modified to the Linder Breech Loading system. The only marking is 39F on the socket between the shank and the locking ring. All measurements match Robert Reilly’s reference B82 in “American Socket Bayonets and Scabbards” perfectly. Bayonet has been rusted and cleaned up with some rust remaining and medium pitting in many areas.
