Description
M1909 bayonet with MATCHING scabbard. GN WITH NO CREST DGFM (FMAP) This was arsenal refinished for the Gendarmerie with it's original crest and serial number removed from the ricasso and restamped "G.N." over "00727". The scabbard still bears the original serial number "015227" and has "00727" added below/above it depending on which way you want to hold the scabbard to look at it. I've been told that 405 of these were produced AFTER the first production run of 500 which had the crest so that's why the serial number is above 500. Blade remains unsharpened.
