Description
Mle.1878 Kropatschek bayonet with MATCHING scabbard. Navy/Colonial anchor on crossguard and scabbard. Serial numbers are very difficult to read due to pitting but there is enough visible to determine they are matching. Spine marked "Mre de Steyr 7th 'bre ???" Overall condition is poor with rust and varying degrees of pitting all over. The scabbard has seen the worst of it and is covered in small dents that do not affect it's function. The grips seem to be about 60% wood filler that has been restained. Despite the shortcomings still a rare and serviceable bayonet.
