Description

Japanese T30 bayonet converted to M1935. This one seems to have had a British unit mark removed from the side of the pommel and overstamped with Turkish AS.FA and Reverse K marks. Turkey captured a handful of T30 and T38 rifles with bayonets from both British and Russian forces in Mesopotamia (Modern Iraq) during WWI. Blade was shortened and new crossguard added with the Tokyo arsenal mark just barely peeking out from underneath. This is the nicest condition example I have ever seen. There are fewer than a dozen documented world wide.
