M1896 Sawback bayonet. SIMSON & Co. SUHL Guaranteed genuine BUT I believe this is one of the ones used by a Hollywood prop house because the backstrap of the hilt has been shaved down along the mortise slot. I am at a loss to suggest what rifle they may have been trying to mount this on. Blade remains unsharpened.
