Description
M1900 bayonet with matching scabbard. Same as a Turkish M1890 but the ricasso is marked WEYERSBERG KIRSCHBAUM & Co. SOLINGEN in western script. The 1900 Luxembourg contact was to arm a 500 man army and a 500 man Gendarmerie so factor out the officers with swords and pistols and that leave well under 1,000 rifles and bayonets. Bayonet and scabbard throat are plated and the thoat is missing it's attatching staple and the throatpiece does come off but the leather is not damaged at all. The hooked quillon is slightly bent up and shows a few small wrench marks.
